Motor freight carriers serve the community regularly.
Air: the Town of Eastend operates a 2500 X 150 foot runway. This runway is not lit for nighttime landings. Nearest regularly scheduled passenger service - Medicine Hat, Alberta connecting to Calgary International Airport.
Electricity
Saskatchewan Power Corporation supplies electrical service to the province, with a Basic Residential Monthly Charge of $9.87 + GST; a reconstruction fee of $2.00 per month and an Energy Charge per Kw-h of $.701 cents.
Natural Gas
Residential gas rates from Sask Energy are a basic monthly charge of $10.50 + GST; that is an energy charge of $.1447 cents per cubic metre. There is a delivery charge of 7.10 cents per cubic metre and a gas consumption charge of 8.93 cents per cubic metre.
Commercial rates for Gas and Electricity will vary from the above.

Water rates are billed Quarterly (every 3 months) as follows:
A minimum charge for 20 cubic meters is $40.00, and
$2.00 per cubic meter after that.

Garbage Disposal
Residential and industrial garbage is collected on a weekly basis, with commercial service being offered bi-weekly. A Waste Transferl site is maintained by the Town of Eastend, for the collection of household waste. The waste is hauled to the Town of Shaunavon. A paper and cardboard recycling program is in place.
Waste Collection rates are $30.00 per Quarter.
Tipping fees apply at the Shaunavon landfill.

Eastend is also served through the Southwest 9-1-1 operations. This also accesses local Ambulance service and the R.C.M.P. There is an Emergency Measures Organization in the community and training is kept up to date.
