Dorothy is a writer, largely of poetry but not entirely, and an artist. She started as a weaver, took up making paper, then printmaking, and now works primarily with artist's books and collage, often ripping up her own drawings and watercolours for raw materials.
She is the author of two poetry books, a children's book about a family in India who prints cloths for the worship of the Mother Goddess, a book of garden letters (with Carol Graham Chudley), and the other is about the ways paper is used in various parts of Asia to connect to the world of spirit (illustrated with her photographs). Dorothy’s third book of poetry, THE BLACKBIRD MUST BE, will be launched this September.
